Karen Evans, a partner and medical malpractice attorney with The Cochran Firm’s Washington, D.C. office, was recently interviewed on Fox 5 News about her representation of the family of Medric Cecil Mills. Mills suffered a health emergency across the street from a D.C. fire station, but firefighters inside the station did not aid Mills. In the Fox 5 news story, Mills’ daughter Marie commented on the findings of the D.C. Trial Board, which investigated the firefighters who did not render aid to Medric.
“There is nothing in there that speaks about the need to reform the firefighter which is what all this is about,” said Mills’ family attorney Karen Evans with the Cochran Firm. “That we need to do better when we deliver emergency services in the District of Columbia, and nothing in this report speaks to that.”
