Have You Been Injured by Bond Manufacturing Firebowl Gel Fuel?
Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia firepot lawsuits
Bond Manufacturing recalled its Firebowl Pourable Gel Fuel products after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission stated the product can unexpectedly ignite and explode. Bond fuel gel products pose a dangerous risk of fire and burns to consumers that can be fatal. The experienced injury attorneys of The Cochran Firm, D.C. are actively investigating legal claims related to defective firepot and gel fuel products.
When poured into a firepot that is still burning, Bond Manufacturing’s gel fuel can explode suddenly and without warning, burning and injuring the person pouring the fuel, nearby persons, and igniting nearby objects. It’s often difficult to tell whether a firepot is still burning, especially during daylight hours, which makes it particularly dangerous.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission states it is illegal to resell or attempt to resell Bond Manufacturing’s gel fuel products listed below. Bond’s gel fuel products are usually poured into a steel cup in ceramic firepot or another lighting device, such as a patio torch. In addition to the gel fuel, the mandatory dangerous product recall includes a product called the “2 pack Tabletop Gel Firebowls” that includes a set of two ceramic firepots.
Bond gel fuel products were sold at prices ranging between $5 and $20 at Big R Stores, Homeclick, SaveMart Supermarkets, Gordmans, Hy-Vee and various hardware, garden and retail websites stores nationwide from September 2010 until September 2011. Consumers are advised to stop using these products immediately.
